I read the second book before I left a review for the first one because I wanted to see what was going on. I can only tell you that this story is wonderful and the characters are pretty original.Loved it.

Amazing sequel. Really looking forward to the next book.
Good well written book, just getting tired of bumbling, smart/idiot main characters.
I like this series. It started out a little slow but it really got good. It was funny and the twist were good.
This was an easy read story with imaginative creatures and concepts. I enjoyed the story line and content and found myself extending my bedtime.
I really enjoyed this book, first off I'll go ahead and admit that I'm a huge fantasy fan so I may be biased especially since lately I've been looking for fantasy that's about the bad guy. Now I wouldn't really consider the main character a bad guy but most of the rest of his world would. Great improvement as far as character development over the first book, I'll be impatiently awaiting the next book.
I enjoyed this book much more than the first one. I found the characters to be interesting and original. There is not a ton of action in this book, so don't buy it expecting that. There is a lot of action near the end if you hang in there.
A lot of time is spent by the main character getting his demon helpers all going in the same direction and not trying to kill each other or him. That worked for me, I found it interesting and believable, but it might not be interesting to everyone.

Looking forward to the next book since now we have two more characters, a hellhound and a talking magic item.
-We still don't find out why everyone treats the character strangely when he tells them what village he is from. COME ON! He didn't think to ask the goddess he talks to about it. BAH, two books and this is still some super secret mystery.
- Hellhound doesn't breath fire, burst into flames or really have anything to do with flames-BOO
Hellhounds in my book have fire. But it's not my book, it's the authors...and it is still pretty awesome as far as dogs go.
I liked it allot. The story is full of twist and turns that come to play with little or no warning. What fun. Please Keep them coming and I will read these adventures as they appear. Thanks Mr Vernon.
